Eddie Jelinet's artistic career began at the early age of 10 when he was commissioned to
paint his first mural at Netzahualcoyotl elementary school in Mexico.
Months later, he was granted a scholarship to attend Casa de Cultura in Baja California.
"Allegory of the Body and Soul", the artist presents a unique approach in his technique, featuring an impressionistic use of different mediums.
On his new series of paintings titled
His "Bacchanal with Silenus" the artist mimicks Master Andrea Mantegna Renaissance painting with the same name by showing a bright gold background and coloring each individual character in more festive colors, perhaps to accentuate the character of each individual.
The serenity of his various portraits and religious images is combined with unparalleled, poetic attention and detail, both of their meaning and exquisite portrayals. Los angeles inspires Eddie to paint and is a perfect surrounding for him to evolve. At 29 of age, he recently created the Characters for the book Powerful Underground.
